Kimball has always loved to do puzzles. I picked up this princess puzzle from the $1 section at Target. It is a 28 piece puzzle and the age on the box said 5+. I thought I would give it a try, so I bought it. Kimball was so excited about it, that as soon as we got home, she pulled the puzzle box out of the bag and went to town on it. As I was putting away the other items I purchased, I didn’t hear much from Kimball, which is strange because she is ALWAYS talking :) I went to check on her and I saw this. She had already pieced 10 pieces together. I was in such shock that I had to pull out the camera and snag a couple pictures.
I only helped her a handful of times, but overall she put it together on her own. I tried teaching her how to look at the picture to try and find where the pieces go on the puzzle she is doing. After a few more times and very little help, she can put it together all by herself. She can put it together in 5 minutes flat now. She is so pleased every time she completes it, that she always has one of us come over to look at her work of art.
Kimball loves to play, but when she is focused, boy it is amazing what she can do. Since she loves puzzles so much, I went out and bought a few more from the dollar store to keep her entertained during conference weekend. It worked like a charm! I love my little buddy :)
