My brother, Matt, married Carrie Parson on December 18th. Kimball and I flew in to San Diego the Wednesday before to get settled and then Kevin joined us late Friday night. This is the first time that my whole family had been in the temple together. It was nice that we could all be there to witness this special occasion. Congratulations Matt and Carrie! We are very happy for you two and wish you a world of happiness!
Carrie’s niece was nice enough to watch Kimball for us during the sealing so we could attend. Matt and Carrie were sealed in the Redlands, CA, LDS temple. It was our first time going to that temple and like all temples, it was beautiful inside and out. The temple had a box of toys to play with in the waiting room. They usually have the toys out for families that are being sealed to entertain the kids while they are waiting to be sealed to their parents. It was cold and drizzling outside, so the temple workers allowed us to use the toys for the Kimball and her cousin, Mikalynn, to play with.
We are waiting for Matt and Carrie to come out of the temple. Kimball had fun running around the temple grounds.
The luncheon was at Claim Jumper and it was absolutely delicious. Kimball was tired and not feeling very well, so I held her on my lap during the whole luncheon. Matt and Carrie were playing a game to see how well they know each other. They got most answers right.
Mikalynn and Kimball playing “Ring around the Rosies” before the reception started.
I was constantly putting Kimball’s flower clip in her hair throughout the whole day.
Tender moments
Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Briggs! We love you guys and are happy to share this special day with you! Welcome to our wild and crazy family, Carrie!
