We were lucky enough to be able to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with Ashley’s family this year. Ashley flew out a few days earlier than I did to spend some extra time there and help her mom get ready for the big dinner (more about that later). I caught up a couple days later after I finished my oral surgery rotation, and got in late Tuesday night.
Wednesday was our 4th anniversary, and we had a great time. Most of the day we just relaxed and hung out with Ashley’s family. Later on that evening we left Kimball with Ash’s parents and celebrated. We hit up the Beach House in Cardiff, where we had gone on Ashley’s 16th birthday.
Ashley had some filet mignon, and I enjoyed my lobster…the only reason we could afford anything like that is because of some deal they had going on. We had an awesome seat right on the water (and the bottle is water by the way).
Afterwards, we watched Disney’s Christmas Carol in 3D (which was awesome), but not before we slew aliens in Area 51.
Thursday was the big day, with 39 people coming over for Thanksgiving dinner. Needless to say, the place was a madhouse but it actually worked out really well. The weather was perfect so there was plenty of room outside. The food was tasty and the company awesome…another great thanksgiving!
