Kimball always had her baby with her. Grandma Briggs bought the baby a new dress. Thank goodness because that baby has been naked for the last 6 months. Kimball removed all the clothes that came with the baby originally.
We went to the park down the street a few times! Her poor cousin, David, was scared for his life when Kimball offered to push him in the swing. It was nice to go to a park and not sweat the whole time from the heat & humidity :)
Kimball and Mikalynn loved playing with grandma’s Ipad. They would take turns playing games on it. When it was Mikalynn’s turn for the Ipad, Kimball insisted playing with my kindle fire.
We went swimming at the Moreno’s pool. Thanks Felila, AJ and Shaye for letting us come swim with you!
We made several trips to In-N-Out. We met grandma there on her lunch break! Kimball’s hair would curl no matter what while we were there. It was pretty humid there half way through our trip.
I went to my first concert ever with my mom while I was there. We went out to dinner beforehand and the food was delicious. Thanks to grandpa for taking care of Kimball that night, so I could go and enjoy. Grandpa took Kimball to dinner at McDonalds and rode the escalator and carousel at the mall.
The concert was Gavin Degraw and Colbie Calliat (sp?). It was wonderful! I was preparing myself months in advance listening to their songs on Pandora, so I would be prepared to sing along! My mom is a fun concert partner! The next concert we are trying to go to is Maroon 5!
The view from the venue!
We met up with Jared, Erin and their kids for breakfast at Ruby’s on Oceanside Pier. We went and played on the swings afterwards!
We went to the beach several times. We saw a few dolphins swimming along the shoreline. Kimball was very excited :)
Kimball insisted on wearing her pink sunglasses to the beach! The beaches in California are so much better than the beaches in Corpus Christi. At least we have a beach nearby.
Uncle Sam buried Kimball in the sand. Surprisingly, she hung out there for a minute or two.
A picture of the two of us, just to document I was there. Not the best picture with my headband falling off ;) Kimball sure looks cute!
Kimball enjoyed playing kick/catch the pink ball with grandpa in their driveway. No, I didn’t plan the matching with the ball!
Our last night there, Kimball took a picture with grandma and grandpa!
Thanks mom and dad for letting us stay a couple weeks with you. The time went by way too fast! It was great to see my siblings and their families! Texas isn’t close enough :(
