We were able to head up to Kevin’s family reunion this year in Washington and it was a blast! We took off on Friday night from San Antonio after a short 2.5 hour drive (better ticket prices up there). Jason and Rachel turned out to be on our same flight and Kimball was super excited to see Dawson. The trip up was uneventful and went smoothly. Kimball finally fell asleep for the last leg of the journey from SLC to Pasco. We got in around 1 AM our time and all went to sleep. Kimball was up bright and early as soon as the sun crested the horizon (which in WA during the summer is around 5:00 AM) so we didn’t get a whole lot of sleep.
The others hadn’t arrived yet, but Dad and I wanted to take the boat out and do some wakeboarding early Saturday morning. Perfectly calm and glassy water, and it was a nice temperature to boot.
Kimball loved being on the boat with Grandpa.
I’m a little rusty after having not ridden for 2 years. That and I’m getting old. Let the record show that I did land my old standby the first day out – the heelside 360.
Kimball loved being with her cousins. Brielle and Melanie were there before Lachelle and Nate showed up with their kids.
Swimming! We swam pretty much every day. Kimball was a fish with those floaties on. She could swim for hours.
