We spent Christmas with Kevin’s family up in Kennewick, WA this year. Kevin took the week before Christmas off, so we left December 17 and came back the 26. We had a great time visiting family! Since we live so far away, Kimball doesn’t see her cousins very often, so it was nice for her to get to know Brielle & Melanie. It didn’t snow while we were there, but it was very cold and windy. Since moving to Texas, we have become weak when it comes to weather under 70 degrees :) It was probably around 40 degrees when we went outside to play. Luckily, Christine lives nearby and Kimball was able to borrow some winter clothes from her. We definitely wouldn’t be using it in Corpus.
Can you tell that Kimball has no idea what to do when she is all bundled up and isn’t quite sure if she likes it.
We rode scooters & bikes on grandma & grandpa’s driveway!
Kimball decided that she just wanted to hitch a ride with daddy on the razor. She was LOVING it!
Kimball loves to run and explore. She was leading us on an adventure through the brush next to grandma & grandpa’s house. I think she looks so cute in her winter clothes. No doubt that everything buy her face was nice & toasty.
She liked talking with the dogs. They must speak the same language. She only enjoys playing with dogs if there is a barrier between them.
We threw leaves in the front yard and checked out the frozen pond in the backyard.
The girls enjoyed reading stories with grandma.
Mom hired a babysitter for a couple mornings, so we could all enjoy playing some games – kid free! That was nice! Thanks mom!
We had deep discussions :)
Saying that Kimball was OBSESSED with the Sesame Street puzzle below would be an understatement. She loved putting this puzzle together over and over again. I was impressed that after a few times of watching someone put it together, she pretty much knew where all the pieces went. She is a very focused and observant kid.
The girls played with play-doh.
The watched so many Christmas movies! They enjoyed the old classics, Rudolph, Frosty the Snowman and Santa Claus is Coming to Town. I had to snap a picture, because the girls were sitting on the blanket together eating popcorn. Pretty sweet.
Christine made sugar cookies and we decorated them. They were yummy!
Kimball is making sure that daddy keeps the frosting on the cookie :)
We had a great week leading up to Christmas. Stay tuned for the Christmas post. I am slowly getting my act together :)

We had so much fun spending Christmas with you. My girls have asked me several times if we can go see Kimball at Grandma's house. When I explained that she is now in Texas they both decided they needed a trip out to Texas! Kimball looks so cute in those little snow suits.
