This little miracle was born :)
I feel a little bad because Kimball was born at a busy time of year for us. Last year, we had a little party with just our family because Kevin and I were getting ready for our Caribbean Cruise. This year, we were busy packing and all of Kimball’s toys were packed up. Poor kid – I plan on throwing her a party with friends next year. She is such a trooper and we love this little girl of ours to pieces. Amongst all the chaos, we were able to have a little celebration. While opening her gifts, she would tear little pieces off and hand them to us. Kimball really is a neat freak who loves order.
I made Kimball a funfetti cake with vanilla frosting and she loved it! We deprive Kimball a little (okay-a lot) in the sweets department.
Kimball was spoiled during her birthday week with having both sets of grandparents there. Thank you grandmas and grandpas for the awesome gifts and thoughtful cards. We all love you very much!
Kimball at 2 is…
- 34 1/4 inches
- Weight: 28 1/2 pounds (she is a very solid little girl)
- Still loves to watch “Signing Time” (personal faves right now are ‘Animanl Trian’ and ‘Nice to Meet you’)
- Talks up a storm
- Still incredibly observant (she can spot the moon in the sky during the daytime)
- Points to everything and tells us what it is (and always right on)
- Has great manners
- Loves and I mean LOVES going to nursery each Sunday
- Throwing more tantrums at the store
- Loves to throw trash away
- Loves her new toddler bed – Kevin and I are 50/50 on whether we like it (she will sometimes come in at 5:30 AM and say ‘Hi Mommy!”
- Everything is ‘BIG’
- Still loves crackers and ALL food
- Very helpful – grabs her broom when I am sweeping and follows me around helping
- Loves all babies – When I pick her up from the kid’s club at the gym, she is always sitting near the babies tickling their feet. On the way out to the car she says, “I nice to babies!”
- Prefers a shower over a bath
- Knows and Loves all animals
- Enjoys helping us wash our cars and knows which one is mommy’s and daddy’s
- Loves having dance parties – we have dance parties every afternoon
- Loves the primary songs ‘Book of Mormon Stories’, ‘Wise man’, ‘Popcorn Popping’ and several others
Kimball is such a delight and we feel so blessed and fortunate to have her in our lives. We definitely have our challenging days, but the good days outweigh the bad! Happy Birthday Kimball! Mommy and Daddy love you!

She is such a cutie. I love Kimball to pieces. Such a sweet and fun little girl. You're lucky you moved or I may have just snatched her from you :). The other day Hallie said to me, "Mom, you should go somewhere so Ashley can babysit us." ha ha. So fun to catch up on your blog. Miss you guys tons!
