Surprise

One of Kimball’s favorite words is Surprise – and surprise we did! We surprised my mom for mother’s day. I am awful at keeping surprises. It was in the making for 1.5 months and my mom had no idea. We flew in Friday morning and my dad picked us up. We were planning to surprise my mom when she came home for lunch. Just our luck my mom went out to lunch for the first time in the last 3 months. We had to come up with plan B, so we decided to surprise her at work instead.

While at my mom’s office, Kevin received a text that the WREB results have been posted. We were able to use the computer at mom’s work to find out what the future holds. Kevin was relieved and excited that he PASSED! The last test he will ever take – WOOHOO!!!! I am so proud of him! We celebrated by going to one of our favorite restaurants, The Beach House! We ate delicious food on the patio!

We also went to a taping of the Ellen Degeneres. My friend from San Antonio, Lindsay Denton, hooked us up with a sweet contact who got us some VIP tickets to see Ellen. This is on my bucket list and now I can check it off. Thanks Lindsay for making my dreams come true. We were the first to be seated in the studio. I was on the aisle and Ellen danced right by me. Shania Twain was the guest, so we all went home with the book she is promoting. We had a blast dancing and making fools out of ourselves – or maybe that was just me :)

         

Kevin turned 27 on the day we went to the Ellen taping. What a great man – sacrificing his special day to make me happy. We came home and had some turtle brownies & ice cream. Happy Birthday!

Thanks Mom & Dad for letting us crash your place for 10 days! We had a blast and we love you (and your Ipad :)
