We began our Easter Festivities with an Easter Egg Hunt. It was fun to watch Kimball this year because she knew a little about what was going on. She wanted me to hold her basket at the beginning while she put the eggs in. As she got more into the hunt, she wanted to hold the basket. Kimball found a good amount of eggs. She kept saying “more eggs” and the color of each egg she found. My little baby is growing up.
That night, we colored Easter eggs. Kimball was picking out the stickers she wanted on her eggs and then put them on herself. She then told us what color she wanted her eggs to be.
When Kimball has an opinion, she is not shy about letting you know.
Kevin thinking up the design for his next egg.
Easter morning we woke up and found our Easter baskets. Kimball found her basket pretty quickly. She found her baby white lion and vet kit next to it. She calls it a dog though :)
We are lame parents and haven’t haven’t given Kimball candy yet, so when she found candy in the plastic eggs, she would just play with them.
Notice the M&M’s in the tree of her little people play set. She then put them in the hammock and started swinging them, pretending they were people. The M&M’s melted in her hand and she didn’t know what to do with it, so she came over to me and asked to wash her hands.
In Kevin’s basket , he found the computer game Portal 2. Ashley found shorts from Costco that she has been wanting. We went to church and watched the church video, “Finding Faith in Christ”. Although fun traditions, we know that Easter isn’t about the bunny, eggs & candy. We know that it is about remembering the resurrection of Jesus Christ. We know that Jesus brought new life and we know that He lives and that He is our Savior and Redeemer.
