Fun Day at the Mall

Kimball is now a member of the Tide Turners Kids Club at the mall. They were having this huge event at the mall, so we decided to go and see what the fuss was all about. They had face painting, cookie decorating, story time, etc. It was packed! After walking in, I walked right back out, so I could take Kimball to the library story time where it would be A LOT less crowded. I got about 10 steps out the door and decided to wait around and give it a try. I knew Kimball would enjoy it!

Kimball sat on my lap while she got her face painted and stayed remarkably still. I had to get a picture of her right after as I knew it was not going to stay on her face for very long. She actually looked at the camera and really smiled while I was taking her picture.

Kimball was excited to see Bennett in line at the mall. They were offering free train rides during the duration of the event, so we jumped at the opportunity. We were even able to ride in the same car as Bennett :)

Side note: Kimball has a special place in her heart for Bennett. Whenever we tell Kimball it’s time to go to church, she gets really excited and starts saying things related to church. One thing she always mentions is “See Bennett!” which is immediately followed by, “be nice to Bennett”.

The local children’s station KEDT had a conductors hat for kids to color and wear. Kimball eventually shared her crayons with Bennett. They were coloring their hats while watching Dinosaur Train.

I actually managed to get a picture of Kimball wearing her hat. Oh yeah, KEDT also handed out free books to kids.

We ended the fun morning with decorating cookies (picture didn’t turn out) and playing in the chaotic kids play area (I was amazed she was still wearing her hat). Kimball was a bit overwhelmed with the number of kids playing there. It really was pure chaos! She wanted to jump off the side of the slide, which is probably about 4.5 feet high, luckily she saw me and I convinced not to jump :)

We had a great morning!

That is fun that you got so many free things there. Kimball's smile is really cute in the first picture. She seems so much older since the last time I saw her!
