Kimball and I went to visit Grandma and Grandpa Briggs in California. My little bro, Trevor, recently returned home from his mission to Argentina and hadn’t met Kimball. My sister, Lindsay, flew out from Philadelphia to spend some time with family as well. Although we missed Kevin terribly, we had a blast hanging out with family. Thank goodness for modern technology, allowing us to Skype every other day. We picked a perfect time to visit because it turned out Kevin had a really hectic week with school full of presentations and lab work and wasn’t getting home until 6:30 – 7:30 at night. Kevin is such a hard worker! Thanks babe for letting us visit California. I love you!

Went to Spaghetti Factory…Kimball was in heaven with the bread and spaghetti!
Went Bowling at Surf Bowl
Saw Buffy our Cocker Spaniel that we had for 16 years and was put down the next day. It was a sad day but her quality of life was very poor. Kimball loves dogs and loved seeing her.
Went to the beach! Kimball is not too sure about the sand. She would cry unless she was holding someone’s hand.

Kimball loves soda! Just joking, she loved the cans after we were finished drinking them. Don’t judge…the Diet Dr. Pepper was caffeine free.
Thanks mom and dad for letting us visit, so we could get out of the Texas heat! It was 30 degrees cooler in Carlsbad than it was in San Antonio. NOT FAIR! We had a great time! See you soon!
While we were away, Kevin cleaned out every cupboard and drawer in our apartment. It was on my to do list and Kevin was a GREAT husband and did it for me! Thank you Kevin! It is good to be home!

I love the pictures! Looks like you had a great trip. I do miss the beach! I love Kimballs little brown dress and that blue hat, she is too cute! That is fun the rest of the family was there too.
WHOA did I miss something?? Kimball is walking??? YAY!!! I can't even imagine Brinley running around and walking, but it is going to happen before I know it! Those beach pictures are sooo cute.
PS We still need to figure out the whole Briggs thing...I know we're related some how :-)

It's so great to get to go back and visit family. What a great husband to clean out those drawers. We're probably going to Sea World Oct. 2 with Kristen and my dad. I'd love to stop by sometime that weekend and visit if you guys are around.
It looks like you had so much fun! Tyson's first experience with sand wasn't too good either but it's growing on him! She'll be loving it in no time! Someday when I have a little girl I hope she looks just like Kimball!
I was going to invite you, but I didn't know if you wanted to go with our crazy group and it is conference weekend. Of course we would love to have you!
