Kimball and I decided a while back that we needed to take a little vacation before I went back to work, so, we bought a Southwest “DING” fare to San Diego. Turns out I have an “extended” maternity leave and will not be going back to work after all, but we still had a blast with my parents and brothers in Carlsbad.
My dad and Chase picked us up from the airport and we met my mom at In ‘N’ Out for lunch. We went to Oscar’s for dinner.
My parents bought a stroller so that I didn’t have to bring mine. We put a rolled up blanket next to her head, so that she wouldn’t fall over. She thought that it was pretty great!
The next day we visited our friend Felila and her boys A.J. & Shaye. Kimball is a little jealous of their tan.
My mom and I were treated to spa pedicures…well my mom treated thanks Mom!!!

Macaroni Grill for Dinner…For those of you wondering if we like to eat…the answer is YES! Thanks mom and dad for taking us to all our favorite places!
We went on a beach walk with my parents on Saturday morning. My dad carried Kimball in the baby bjorn and Kimball fell asleep in the most uncomfortable position. We started at Carlsbad Village drive…
and ended at the Bucaneer Galley in Oceanside for breakfast! The breakfast food was AMAZING!

On our walk back to Carlsbad, I decided that I wanted to carry Kimball…not easy to walk with an extra 14 pounds strapped to you!
We covered her head with my dad’s hat on the way back so that she wouldn’t get a sun burn.
That walk wore us all out…Dad and Kimball decided to take a nap
Mom and I went to her one of her favorite restaurants in Rancho Santa Fe called “Thyme in the Ranch”. Their food was so fresh and tasty!

Kimball was in her car seat a majority of the time because I was driving everywhere. She was a great traveler and was always smiling!

She fell asleep on the plane for the last half of the flight. She was such a great traveler!
We returned home to a clean house and flowers on the table! What a nice surprise!
Thank you mom and dad for a wonderful week! We look forward to Thanksgiving! We love you!

Ashley! These pictures of you and Kimball make me so jealous. I want a little baby girl to take girl trips with me and go to the beach. How fun. The pictures are so cute!
What a gorgous baby! It looks like your parents are doing a great job and really enjoying Kimball. We sure miss you guys. Keep up the good work with your cute little family!
AWWWW. I think you should come back.. and try it all over again! lol.. we had so much fun that week! like more fun than other weeks.. j/k..no but for reals!!!
