So, as many of you know I was planning on going back to work in August. I would often get sad at the thought of leaving Kimball, but after much thought and prayer we decided that it was the best thing for our family for me to go back to work. A friend in the ward was willing to watch Kimball while I went back to work, so we felt like everything was working out the way it needed to.
I received a call from my boss and HR manager on Thursday informing me that the corporate offices of Jack in the Box have decided to close down the San Antonio regional office. The next thing they told me was that the administrative assistants were being laid off and that I would not be returning to work. They told me that I would report on August 12th (the day that I planned on beginning work) and sign my separation papers. At first, I was overcome by feelings of stress and wonder of how we were going to make ends meet. After speaking with Kevin, we feel like this was a definite answer to our prayers. Although it will be difficult, we feel like it is blessing to have the opportunity to stay at home with Kimball.
I am grateful for the opportunity I had to work for Jack in the Box the last couple of years and for the many things I learned from the great people I worked with. I will miss the people I work with, but am SO excited to stay at home with our little girl.

Wow! That would be an emotional roller coaster. I bet Kimball is so excited to have you home! I hope you continue to feel good about it. Yea for you coming to play group!!!
Wow! What a neat experience. Just know a lot of people around you are using student loans to make ends meet, so it could be worse :). Your Kimball is just so cute. I wish I could sit in R.S. and look at her.
I had a really hard time deciding not to work again after I had Stella. I know it wasn't neccesarily what you had planned, but it has been totally worth it for me and I am sure you won't regret it! Babies are only little for a little while so it is so fun to get to enjoy it!
That's big! I think you're right. Things will absolutely work out. And now you get to spend so much more time with Kimball!
