Date Night

A few months ago, I bought a Groupon for 2 hours of bowling for 2 including shoe rental – only $15. I couldn’t pass it up. I received an email from Groupon informing me that my deal was about to expire. We decided (for the first time) to pay a young woman from our ward to come over and watch Kimball so we could catch a quick bite to eat & go bowling. We actually felt like grown ups. Of course, Kimball was so excited to have someone new over at our house and could care less when we left.

We grabbed some dinner at “Bull Chicks” and were on our way to bowling. We arrived at the bowling alley at 7:00. We were worried that there weren’t going to be any lanes open. When we got inside, we found that there were a ton of lanes open. We got our shoes and were on our way to endless bowling matches. We haven’t gone bowling for years, so we were excited!

We played six games in 1.5 hours. We could’ve played 8 games, but we are definitely as young as we think we are sometimes. We each had a 3 game win. We didn’t have very high scoring games. We decided to cut our bowling time short & play some arcade games. We had a lot of fun playing a shooting arcade game. Kevin obviously dominated on that.

     

On our way home, we picked up some Jamba Juice for dessert. When we returned home, Kimball was in bed! We had a great date night and it felt nice to get out and do something other than just going out to eat. We were both pretty sore the next day :)
