I can’t believe my baby turned 1 year old a couple weeks ago on May 27th. I am sure that Kevin is sick of hearing me say, “This time last year we…”. She is the greatest blessing in our life!

Kimball’s birthday was a couple days before Kevin and I left on our cruise, so we decided to keep her celebration simple. Hopefully we will be able to have a BIG birthday bash for next year when she will remember it. Here are a few pictures to enjoy!

Yes, clothes from Grandma Packard. Maybe my mom won’t try squeezing me into 9 month clothes anymore! Kimball has been using her hand as a phone for the last few months, so she was excited when she got a ‘real’ telephone!
What is on my head? Kimball started to get a little fussy half way through her gifts, so we gave her a pacifier. Whenever Kimball puts a pacifier in her mouth, her hand automatically goes up to play with her hair. After talking to Kevin’s parents, they both said that Kevin did a similar thing when he was younger. Is it genetic? Maybe.
Kimball got an outfit from G’ma Briggs which included pink sunglasses. Kimball loves them!

I made Kimball some funfetti cupcakes. Grandma Packard was here and we had a video conference with G’ma & G’pa Briggs while she ate her cupcake. She wasn’t too sure what to think about the cupcake at first, but when she tasted the frosting, she definitely wanted MORE!
At one year old, Kimball…
- Walking about 7-10 steps
- Uses some sign language: please, more, food, milk, cheese
- Waves hi and bye
- Folds her arms when we say prayers
- Still loves to read books
- Loves her duck - ‘dud-ee’
- Says Mama, daddy, all done
- Loves to eat cheese, peas, corn, strawberries, cantaloupe, banana, PB&J, Gerber Puffs, milk, pretty much all food
- Going down for naps and bedtime without being rocked to sleep…YAY!
- Crawls over you if you are in her way when she is trying to get somewhere
- Loves to ‘give loves’ by resting her head on our shoulders for a second
- Loves to play with her hair when she is sucking on her pacifier
- Still very alert to everything that is going on around her
- Claps her hands when you say ‘Yay’
- Has laugh attacks when she thinks something is funny
- Tilts her head and puts her hand up to her ear when you call her…so cute!
- Gives us her duck or pacifier when she wakes up and wants to get out of her crib
- Sits in a forward facing car seat now and we are both very excited!
Kimball is growing by the day! She amazes me and makes me laugh everyday! Happy Birthday Kimball! Mommy and Daddy love you so much!

This year has flownnnnn by! Oh my goodness. Seriously. I can't wait for Brinley's first birthday. It will sneak up on me I swear!! Kimball is SUCH a DOLL! I love her!!! She is so gorgeous. I love her whale spout pony too!!
Your Kimball is a doll! Lily will be turning one here in July and I'm really suprised at how quickly this first year as gone by. Hope you guys have fun on your cruise!!
Happy Birthday Kimball! My little Rockwell will get to share a birthday with his 2nd cousin or however they are related. She is sure a beautiful girl!
Now this is one cute granddaughter. She is such a joy and we miss not seeing her as often as we would like. Thanks for including us on the eating of her first b-day cupcake via the netcam.
