Ashley's Birthday

I know that this post is a little late, but as they say, "better late than never". So, a few weeks ago I had my 24th birthday and Kevin made the whole day really special. Kevin woke up and wrote on the mirror, "Happy B-Day...I love you" in soap(a nice message to wake up to! Then, he made me an egg sandwich for breakfast...yummy! When I got home from work, I opened up my presents. For the past week, I haven't been able to go into the guest room because Kevin was working on a project for me. I came home from work very eager to see what Kevin had been working so hard on. He brought me my presents in one by one and I began to open them! The first one was, a swimsuit cover up dress that I had been wanting, second was "The Family, A Proclamation to the world" framed (which I have been meaning to do for a while), third was some new towels that we so badly needed, and last but not least...a purse sewn by my wonderful husband, Kevin! I am so in love!!!! My friends at work were very impressed and I am sure that you will be too. Thank you for all for your calls wishing me a happy birthday and for the thought filled cards and extreme generosity! Below is a picture of the one and only purse by Kevin...he made this purse with me in mind. I am so amazed by Kevin's skills...he didn't even use a pattern, he used the trial and error method and it worked! You'll notice to pouches on the outside...on the left is my cell phone pouch and on the right is a pouch for my keys...the two things that I can never find in my purse, so hopefully this will make it easier :) Enjoy!

I am impressed that he even knows how to sew at all, let alone that he can sew a purse. Way to go Kevin!

So impressive. Nice work, Kev! Yet another thing you and Mike have in common--he "corrected" some of my maternity jeans and left a little signature "M" on the back where he sewed up the seam. Maybe you two should start a business together where you can continue to show up me and Ash with all your skills and talents.
